教师创设情景: Mary failed to attend Professor Smith’s lecture on English learning. Her friend Jack told him the advice Professor Smith made in the lecture. 学生们分Mary和Jack角色进行对话，操练同位语从句转达Professor Smith的建议。
例：
Mary : Hi, Jack.
Jack : Hi, Mary.
Mary : I was ill yesterday, so I didn’t go to attend Professor Smith’s lecture on English learning. What did he say?
Jack : He made a suggestion that….He thought it was a good idea that…

说明：
针对 “学习方法” 这一话题，可在学生中开展讨论：学习有没有万灵药？学习有没有捷径？这个话题值得学生们思考与讨论，教师要引导学生端正学习态度, 让学生通过讨论认识到学习没有万灵药, 只有适合自己的方法才是最好的方法, 学习没有捷径, 只有努力才能换来学习的成功。
1. Discussion on the following issues
1) Do you believe the advertisements such as “A 24-Hour Program of Success in Spoken English”, “Learn a foreign language in 6 weeks or your money back?”
2) Are there shortcuts in learning? Is there a cure-all for all the students?
